Short description
Originally created in the mid-60s as a resort village, Les Ménuires quite recently looked like a block microdistrict lost in the mountains. However, in recent years, hotel owners have begun to listen to the opinion of tourism marketers, and began to reconsider their views on the architecture of the resort. Many old hotels have begun to take on the features of the Savoyard province, and new tourist residences look like traditional Alpine chalets. Over the past decade, such elements of the resort infrastructure as swimming pools, gyms, saunas, Turkish steam rooms and spas have been built or completely reconstructed, conditions have been created for children's recreation and people with disabilities. In the center of the village, near the central parking lot, a tower stylized as an old church rises, which adds a rustic charm to the resort.
Les Ménuires is very elongated along the mountain range, so walking in the evening can seem tiring, but you can start skiing here “from the door”. For the convenience of its guests, the town is divided into quarters, and each of them has its own convenient access to the lift stations. The evening life of the village is full of events. A large number of restaurants, cafes, French pastry shops, a nightclub and live music concerts attract tourists from neighboring small resort villages.
Les Ménuires is a member of the Famille Plus Montagne resort association, which means a guaranteed quality of service for families with children. A huge list of events is offered for them: classes with animators, relay races and competitions. There are safe ski and toboggan slopes, ESF schools and kindergartens.
