The ski resort of Val Thorens was specially designed for skiers and is divided into 2 parts: the quiet Karon and the lively Peclet. A large number of wide slopes, slopes of varying difficulty, where there is no crowding of skiers, allows you to feel the "flight-gliding" at speed, avoiding the danger of a collision. There are trails for all categories of skiers.

For professionals: the black and red slopes in the Cime de Caron (3200 m) are quite consistent with their labeling, some of them are even undeservedly underestimated, and the Lac du Lou (Lac du Lou) area and the massif of La Mas (La Masse) will delight skiers with off-piste skiing, but it is better to take an escort before the start. There are many black and difficult red slopes on the slopes of Menuires, but they are not very long.

Intermediate: very popular with advanced skiers are the Combe du Caron and Col pistes, as well as the pistes coming down from Méribel. But it is quite possible to try your hand at more difficult tracks, as the snow cover here is of very high quality.

For beginners: Val Thorens is not very suitable for dummies, but there are well-prepared green and blue slopes at the foot of the mountain.
