La Plagne is a vast ski region, which includes as many as 12 ski resorts and villages. All of them are at different heights and differ in individual specifics, due to which the skiing conditions here are surprisingly diverse. Each village is a complex of hotels with restaurants, bars, discos. The most interesting are the high-altitude bases (Plane 1800, Plagne Center, Em la Plagne, Plagne Belcote 1930, Planne Village and Plane Soleil) located at a level from 1800 to 2100 m.
There are trails of all degrees of difficulty. Numerous slopes for skiing on virgin soil will bring unforgettable pleasure to the most experienced and desperate ski lovers.
In terms of area occupied (over 10,000 hectares) and the number of lifts, the area is on a par with L' Espace Killy and the Three Valleys, although it is one level lower in terms of the class of slopes and the variety of skiing.
The main advantage of all La Plagne resorts is skiing directly from the hotel. The slopes in La Plagne are considered the most well-groomed and comfortable, and the circus structure of the resort is the most convenient for skiing.
The Plan center, built in the 60s, is the oldest resort in the area. Shops and entertainment are mainly concentrated here. For those who prioritize the convenience of the main ski areas.
The La Plagne area also includes several villages in the lower valleys, from which you can reach the main area by lift: Champagny (1250 m), Mont-chavin (1250 m), Le Coche (1450 m) and Mont Talbert (1350 m) .
