Megeve is considered to be one of the most beautiful and luxurious ski resorts in France. Thanks to the efforts of the Rothschild family, the old Savoyard town of Megeve has become one of the most fashionable resorts in the world.

The history of skiing is closely connected with this resorts. In 2012, Megeve celebrated the 100th anniversary of one of its most famous and respected citizens, Emile Allais, who, even at such a respectful age, still skied with enviable regularity.
After the First World War, Megeve becomes a very popular place where French bohemians regularly come. One of the branches of the Rothschild dynasty and currently lives permanently in Megeve.

Megeve is the incomparable atmosphere of a real old town, with a pedestrian zone, medieval houses and a square with a beautiful church and bell tower.

Roger Vadim, Gerard Philippe, Jean Cocteau, Pablo Picasso, Amadeo Modigliani, Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Brigitte Bordeaux - the heroes and ghosts of the past did not seem to leave Megeve, except that the logos of fashion brands in the shop windows remind of the 21st century. It has been called the 21st arrondissement of Paris, a style icon, the film Dangerous Liaisons was born here and Jean Cocteau's legendary restaurant Les Enfants Terribles still exists in the Hotel Mont Blanc. This resort has only gotten better over time. Megeve is the embodiment of the famous French l'arte de vivre, not a remake, but a real aristocratic town with narrow streets, a cozy center and pretty wooden chalets built in the style of an old Savoyard farm.
