Meribel is a ski resort famous all over the world, the heart of the Three Valleys. This largest of the resorts in the Three Valleys (Trois Vallees) consists of the central part, Belvedere and Mottara, connected by lifts and roads.
The resort was founded in 1938 by Englishman Peter Lindsey and retained the atmosphere of a Savoyard village, but with a distinctly British accent. Meribel-Mottaret - a small resort near Meribel, located right on a slope at an altitude of 1700 m.
